Experiment

Can I post using only the iPad. It's harder than it looks, at least for me.... Sixty minutes and one new downloaded app later, here it is. The photo is of our newly netted apricot tree. Who put the ape in the apricot?

Initial Post

The blog offers teachers and their student travelers a powerful tool.  I've seen this first hand and in the blogs of traveling students and teachers I've been reading for a few years now.  But I've never actually set one up myself.  Can I teach myself to do it?  How difficult could it be? The trip to Kyoto might afford me an opportunity to experiment and find out.


John and I leave tomorrow morning. (Perhaps he'll want to join me in this experiment.)  In the meantime, here is some information on my home, family, the perils of uploading pics, and adventures in syncing ...

Above you see  Jessie, a.k.a. The Puke-asaur,  unwilling conspirator to my first blog photo.  He realizes he's being interrupted from his favorite activity: I think he's thinking: Should I bite him? Then again, I don't really think he thinks at all. Helen and Dani both know how much I will miss him when I'm gone:-)

Speaking of Helen and Dani, here is a picture of Helen, Dani and myself, sans the tops of our heads.  Who needs those anyway?

And finally the Picasso print over my desk taken with the iphone... can we upload this, too?  Yes we can. The iPhone, it seems to me, is the easiest way to upload photos since I have the right connectors for the iPhone but not for the other doohickies [ a Japanese word, I think] that take photos.

Unfortunately, it's not the cleanest image. I'll try one now with the iPad itself...
